Purpose

Rotarian Action Group for Endangered Species was formed for the purpose of  empowering members of the Rotary Family worldwide to take actions to sustain and protect Endangered Species, it provides informational resources to share information with clubs and communities about the plight of Endangered Species and to be a focal point for its members.

How does the Rotary “4 Way Test” relate to the preservation of Endangered Species?

  1. Is it the truth that wild and natural landscapes are critical in the maintenance of human health and social good?

With respect to ‘endangered species’…..

  1. Is it fair to all concerned that vast amounts of natural habitat are sacrificed or consumed at the expense of future generations?

With respect to ‘endangered species’…..

  1. Will extinction of Orangutans build healthy communities and a better human condition?

With respect to ‘endangered species’…..

  1. Will extinction of rhino’s be beneficial to all concerned including our grandchildren?

Our action model:  Identify leaders within the Rotary world, assist them in initiating endangered species projects that are meaningful to THEM, help where we can, and acknowledge/publicize their awesome work.

You Can Help

Do you have skills to offer the Rotarian Action Group for Endangered Species?   Whether you are a leader with a passion to share, or want to contribute as a part-time volunteer, we a place for you.

Here are some places you can help:

  • provide content for the website
  • create a Forum for your specific Endangered Species interest
  • add events to the Global Events Calendar
  • work with the members to support communication with Rotarians who have Endangered Species  projects
  • contribute to Newsletter in one or more ways, e.g.,
    1. submit an article
    2. submit a photo
    3. serve as Newsletter Editor
    4. volunteer as a member of the Editorial Committee
  • post to social media using Facebook
  • recruit new members
  • lead or participate in Local or Regional Forums
  • join the Education Team to help develop and present engaging and fun materials and presentations!
