The Lake Chelan Rotary Club funds a Shelter Box each year (https://www.shelterboxusa.org).  These large tents are provided, with essentials like cooking supplies, etc., to house up to 8 people impacted by natural disasters anywhere in the world.  You can see a Shelter Box tent at the Lake Chelan Rotary Club exhibit at the Chelan Earth Day Fair (third Saturday in April every year, Riverwalk Park, Chelan).

Lake Chelan Century Challenge

This event, on the 3rd Saturday each June, is the primary fundraiser for the charitable activities of the Club. Riders come from around the region to participate in what is widely known as one of the premier cycling events in Washington State      www.cyclechelan.com

Buzz on Biz is an Entrepreneurial Training Program sponsored by the Lake Chelan Rotary Club in partnership with Manson High School.  This project is an attempt to introduce students to entrepreneurial attitudes via real life speakers, team projects to develop a business idea and present their business plan to Rotarians and community leaders.

Back Pack Drive

We provide a fun and interactive ‘Back to school fair’ every August where we offer backpacks and school supplies to over 350 families.

Planet Walk

1.5 mile scale model of our Solar System along Riverwalk Park.  This project was selected as our first of ten “100 year Anniversary” projects.  It will bring many years of education and enjoyment to generation to come.

Manger Mall

Rotary provides financial and volunteer support to this annual community program which was started in 1999.  Each December families who need assistance purchasing Christmas gifts for their children have an opportunity to shop for presents.  An average of nearly 700 children are served each year.

Lake Views Newsletter:

Weekly newsletter compiled and distributed to Lake Chelan Rotary Club members a=with upcoming programs, fundraising news, member and club accomplishments, community service opportunities and District and Rotary International news.  Also sends other club communications such as social and satellite meeting reminders and bulletins.

Chelan Chase

The Chelan Chase is a USATF certified course 5K ice/run/walk fundraiser for breast cancer awareness held on the third Saturday in October. Proceeds are used for education, financial assistance for screening mammograms, and for cancer specific support for women in our community that are diagnosed with breast cancer.

Roadside Sponsorship

This committee maintains a three mile section of State Route 97A from the Dan Gordan Bridge to Tsillan Cellars with a twice yearly road clean-up enhancing the appearance of the western approach to Chelan.

Christmas Lights

Every year through the holiday season we assemble Christmas lights at the Don Morse Park bringing festive colorful lighting to the sailboats and the putting course fence.

Salvation Army Bellringers

Every Holiday season we assemble a group of people to volunteer their time ringing the Salvation Army bell in hopes to collect funds that stay in our local community helping those in need.
